Puppy Love (on the Fringe)

I brought Coyote along as my date to the Ottawa Fringe Festival Media Launch, and I was soon abandoned by him when he sniffed out this beauty. Click!, went his camera.


I am not sure if it was her colourful flowery bodice, or the high pitched sounds that she emitted when she performed that tickled his doggy fancy.

Miss Shoshinz, (who told Coyote her name was Yanome*) will be performing at the Ottawa Fringe Festival all week.

*Was the admiration mutual?

Higher Powers

A few days ago, I was focused on a deep conversation with Coyote.

Magi, my cat, walked in, and with that mysterious power that cats have, directed me to stand up, fill a tea-cup with cold water and place it on the floor in front of her, all while I continued talking and listening to Coyote.

Without missing a beat, and certainly not to be outdone, Coyote's camera made him stand up, point the lens at Magi and take a perfectly sweet picture of her.

Coyotes' Viewpoint

When I become familiar with the sights on my walking route and there are no people to strike up a conversation with, I look up.

It is interesting to see what I pass by every day and don't notice because I am looking at life at street level.

It has come to my attention that Coyotes also have a fondness for gazing upwards.

Recently, while looking up I saw sky high gardens,


a romantic looking balcony,


a cool tin cat on a roof,


swanky wonky reflections,


and a coyote's breakfast - pigeons!

Brillante Award - Part II

I met Fourth Dwarf for tea at a café on Elgin Street, and told him about being nominated for a Brillante Award by Coyote.

"Do you want me to nominate you for one?"I asked him innocently.

"Do you want me to put salt in your mint tea?" he snapped back.

I Stuck my head out of boxes long enough to see that Coyote had nominated me for an award. When he's not eating up all the dark chocolate out of my purse, he's a pretty sweet puppy.
