Puppy Love (on the Fringe)

I brought Coyote along as my date to the Ottawa Fringe Festival Media Launch, and I was soon abandoned by him when he sniffed out this beauty. Click!, went his camera.

I am not sure if it was her colourful flowery bodice, or the high pitched sounds that she emitted when she performed that tickled his doggy fancy.

Miss Shoshinz, (who told Coyote her name was Yanome*) will be performing at the Ottawa Fringe Festival all week.

*Was the admiration mutual?

Morning Treat

I saw a cowboy on my way to work this morning.

Oh, what is it about cowboys that makes a woman's heart skip a beat?

We Clicked

She wouldn't stop staring at me, so I took her picture!

I Get a Kick Out of You

I get a kick out of walking behind these guys. Sometimes I imagine that they are holding hands and strolling along singing a little love duet.

I stopped a pair of them recently, and commented on my appreciation of their presence in the downtown core.

One of the two laughed, and responded by repeating my words teasingly, "Ya, we think it's cool too."

Darn, I hadn't noticed that I had used hippie talk to address them.

Warm Regards, Evalyn

On Friday, I experienced Evalyn Parry at Rasputin's Folk Café. I will Always remember her.

After her first set, I went off to powder my nose. The bathroom was in use. A few seconds of waiting, and the door opened. Out walked Evalyn. She smiled at me (my knees weakened), held the door open, and said, "It's all yours," in her silky sexy fluid voice.

I lowered my eyes, coyly smiled back at her and expressed a quiet little, "Thank you."

I went into the washroom... and as I sat down realized, "Oh! The seat is still warm!"
